Bringing Value to IT in your Business

Leigh 22nd October 2015 Uncategorised

Technology is moving forward faster and faster. Each year new hardware is produced, new software released and everyone is connected. There are new buzzwords: cloud, mobility, IDM all of which disguise one fact. There are lots of ways to use IT to support your business. And that’s the key – IT should be supporting your business. Supporting it to grow, to sell, to make more money. It should be supporting your team, your customers and your suppliers. If your IT is only a source of frustration, or you don’t know the value that it brings, then you should be working with an IT Services company like Node IT.

So what else does an IT Services company provide other then fixing things when they go wrong? Well, quite often buinsess owners and key staff presume that the new system they have been sold will be quick and easy to use, like in the demo, and that their company will be up and running in 5 minutes. Unfortunately, with new technologies come new problems and seldom does it go so well. Here are 3 questions that our customers have asked us in just the past 5 days:

  • How do we make our new Cloud HR system talk to the onsite accounts software?
  • How do we provide secure access to our cloud stored data for everyone, but only allow 3 users access from home?
  • I am trying to print from You Tube, but isn’t working properly?

You see, running IT services that support your business, whether in the cloud or in your office, requires a broad range of skills and abilities. As a business owner myself, there are many vital skills that I could have a go at, but there are people out there that are better at it than me, so I employ them or their services. The same goes for supporting IT in your business. Being able to connect a home PC and Smart TV to your broadband does not give you skills to do the same for multiple computers and devices in your business. You need to employ the services of specialists with experience in doing this and working on the problems that inevitably happen.

Getting IT right in your business is like laying the foundations of a house. If you get it wrong then it does not matter what you build on top, it will end up falling over and costing you more money. We build long lasting relationships with our customers bringing real benefit to both theirs and our business. Just last month we celebrated our 7 year anniversary with a visit to our first customer, who we’ve been working with over the years to improve and develop their IT service. And we looking forward to continuing to work with them for many years to come. We would like to work with you too. Call me today and we can discuss how Node IT can make IT support you and your business.

Why are we called Node IT

We often get asked this question. In IT terms, a node is a connection point or a device on a network. This could be a computer, tablet, server, phone or even the cables that make up the network. Our aim at Node IT is to Connect, Protect and Secure these nodes.
