1st Class Jo

Congratulations Jo

Congratulations to our amazing Office Manager, Jo Matthews, on achieving a 1st Class Honours Degree, AND being recognised at this year’s Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) Awards.

Jo has worked incredibly hard over the last three years, combining her full-time BA in English Studies at the University of Bedfordshire with her role at Node.

She started as our Administrator in 2014, quickly becoming a key member of the team and taking the lead in our organisational change program. Her ability to implement significant administrative improvements across the business, whilst simultaneously excelling in her studies, made nominating Jo for the ‘Commercial Impact’ SEOTY Award 2017 a no-brainer.

We were thrilled when the announcement came from the award’s organisers the National Association of Student Employment Services that Jo was a Regional Winner, only to discover that she had gone on to be awarded the Runners Up prize in the National Finals!

Jo shows real strength and determination to do the best in any role that she takes on, be it for the business or her studies. She is an essential member of the Node IT family, and it is fantastic to see her hard work recognised.

Congratulations Jo from all the team at Node IT

Why are we called Node IT

We often get asked this question. In IT terms, a node is a connection point or a device on a network. This could be a computer, tablet, server, phone or even the cables that make up the network. Our aim at Node IT is to Connect, Protect and Secure these nodes.
